Have Fun in the Church Office ~ Part 3

This entry is part 2 of 6 in the series Team Building

office golfBy now you are getting the message that having fun at work can be a great benefit to the overall atmosphere of the office. Your staff are laughing more and enjoying the day more! When a challenge arises in the office, and trust me they will, the response of your staff will be different than before. People in general are more prone to handle problems better if they themselves are fulfilled at work and enjoying  what they do.

This one will get a funny look until they try it and then they will absolutely love it. Not many employees get the fun opportunity to play “OFFICE GOLF”. This one is usually done in a small group like in a department or division. For example the Administrator may want to do this with the Finance Team. The Education Minister may want to do this with his Education staff. Or i have done this many times where just the ministers play together.

OFFICE GOLF

We pick several hallways in the church in an area no one is using obviously! Our facility has a sky-walk between two buildings and we start at one end of the sky-walk, shoot down the sky-walk hall, down a set of stairs at the end and then turn the corner to the nursery area. The hole is a plastic cup sitting in the hallway somewhere. To make it interesting leave the hall doors open in the hallways so if your ball goes in a room you have to hit it out back to the hallway.

Use real putters and real golf balls! Make it a par “whatever”  but establish that up front! Make it as hard or easy as you like.  Loads of fun and no one can beleive you are letting them play golf at the office.
