Never Stop Networking

I arrived too early today at Pastor’s Conference lunch so i went into networking mode. I am always looking for other Church Administrators to network with so i was asking around as i got involved in conversations. I am one of the newest pastors there and really don’t know a whole lot of people so networking helps meet people too.

I got hit on early by an older gentleman asking to come by and show me his program to save the church electricity. Then another hit on me to come by and inspect my stained glass windows. I hit them right back with joining our local chapter of the NACBA.  I was hitting on anyone that i talked to.

By the end of the luncheon i had one business card with email and two other email addresses to add to my prospect list for our chapter. By the time i got back to the office i had another email from one of them asking me to add their Financial Secretary to the prospect list. A few minutes later i get a call from another church asking me for some compensation survey info and turned him on the NACBA site and then got his email to add as a chapter prospect.

So that really makes 5 contacts i got just today. Very productive! You should never stop networking and meeting people in your area. For me, our NACBA chapter is a big focus right now just starting it up and all so i am always looking to add to that.

Never stop learning and never stop networking!
