Embarrassing Moments by Luijarick

Here’s a quick good laugh to lighten up your day!

embarraseedMy first staff position was titled Preschool/Children/Business Manager Minister. (whatever!) It was a small church of around 100 people and was growing faster than we knew how to keep up with. As Preschool Minister i was responsible for the baby department. Many new young couples were joining our church with newborns and after a while more couples were getting pregnant and then adding to our church.

Our nursery was growing ever so small and crowded. Finally, we decided to add another room just for babies and had to furnish it with baby beds and all the accessories. At that time we also had an Education Minister! So, he and I set out to purchase furniture for the new room. We decided to try Baby’s- R- Us since they sold baby beds as well as toys.

Here is how it went down. See if you get the picture. Two men entered  a baby store together and were greeted by a salesperson, another male. The salesman asked what we were shopping for and here was our reply.

“We need to look at some baby beds. We are furnishing our nursery.”

The guy had a blank look and paused for a moment! Can you image the look on this guys face looking at two men shopping for a baby bed for their nursery? It took some talking to convince the guy we were actually ministers shopping for the church. Right!

Lighten up today! Have a little fun!
