20 More Tips for Attending a NACBA Conference

1 Make sure you attend sessions by Richard Hammer, Gene Hill, and Frank and Elaine Somerville. You will be scared out of your mind when you leave but it is worth it. LOL

2 Do not use the snacks and drinks in your room fridge unless you have secured a loan from your bank first.

3 Download a good GPS app on your phone to take with you so you will not get lost in the Gaylord hotel.

4 Always get on the first bus to an outside event for the best seat when you get there

5 Take earphones with you from home and save the $5 the airline charges you for them

6 Print mailing labels with just your name and church name and address to place on the cards for the vendor drawings. Do not include your email address unless you want hundreds of emails later

7 Take your spouse with you so you can get double freebies at the trade show

8 Go by the resource tables early because they run out in a few days

9 Locate the NACBA office in the conference center and take then a treat now and then

10 Have plenty of ones and fives in cash for tips along the way traveling

11 Take plenty of business cards to exchange with new people you meet

12 Look for First Timers and make it a point to introduce yourself

13 Wherever you sit is a session meet the people to your left and your right. Do not just sit there and look straight ahead as if they were not there

14 No complaining! If it is too hot, take something off, if it is too cold, put something on

15 Attend worship every day. You are taking a break from the office not worshipping

16 Men, if you are taking your wife with you make sure you introduce her everywhere you go so she will not be kicking you all the time

17 Do not live out of a suitcase for a week; move in and unpack and actually use the dresser and hanging closet

18 Explore the hotel and visit every area

19 Make sure, absolutely sure, you pack your cell phone charger. Double check!

20 If you win an award and have to go on stage, check your zipper first
